Roger Vivier’s New Coffee Table Book

Roger Vivier IS a girl’s dream. What a wonderful creation by a master French Designer. Roger Vivier ( 1907-1998) is credited with the design of the first Stiletto heel in 1954. Ava Gardner and The Beatles were all Vivier fanatics.

He designed shoes for the coronation for Queen Elizabeth II. His designs are classic, extravagant~ silk and jeweled!

His designs have forayed into handbags, jewelry, boots and sunglasses. Finding a piece of Roger Vivier is a true, lasting treat. His first boutique is on the Rue St. Honore in Paris and was inspired by his apartment, designed by Lena Pessoa.

There are now 3 flagship boutiques in the US. If you are just hoping to LOOK at some of his designs,,, go to the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Vivre Vivier!
